Kashmiri Mutton



Ingredients:-


Mutton – 1/2 kg (cooked)
Onion – 1
Tomato – 1 big
Ginger & Garlic – 1 tbsp each chopped
Garammasala – 2 tsp
Chilli powder – 1 tbsp
Coriander powder – 1 tbsp
Coconut – 1 cup
Aniseed (perumjeerakam) – 1/2 ttsp
Water – 1/2 cup
Oil - 1/2 cup
Salt - to taste

Method:-

  1. Grind coconut with aniseeds & little water & make a paste.
  2. Heat oil in a pan & saute onion for 5 minutes.
  3. When onion becomes brown add chopped ginger & garlic & saute.
  4. Add masala powders.
  5. When oil starts appearing add tomato & saute.
  6. When tomato is cooked add coconut paste.
  7. Saute for 5-6 minutes.
  8. Add mutton & mix well.
  9. Add 1/2 cup water & cook for 10 minutes
  10. .Garnish with coriander leaves.
